I created this painting with layers of paint adding complexity and beauty. There are spontaneous brushstrokes, drips, and carefully placed marks that mirror human experience that we cannot control everything, but we still have a choice to believe and remember “You are enough”

I am exploring the dichotomy of emotions through these abstract expressionist paintings. Each painting is created with layers of paint, smears of gritty charcoal, and gestural marks made with buttery soft pastels. I like the unpredictability and spontaneity of working intuitively and seeing each painting evolve. Each painting is filled with moments of calm and chaos stacked on top of one another which adds interest, depth, and uniqueness. These paintings are an invitation to discover and embrace your inner uniqueness and feel safe in being YOU.
